LEARNING TOGETHER

Terms and Conditions

Version: 2026-10-10-school-2 · Effective date: 10 October 2026

Before you join

Parents create and manage accounts for their children. Memberships are prepaid for each child. Payment must be verified and approved before learning access starts. When a membership expires, lessons and videos are locked until renewal is approved.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms cover the online learning portal operated by The Future Founders Lab at thefuturefounderslab.org/learn. The parent or legal guardian creating the account must be at least 18, provide accurate account details and have authority to manage the child’s participation. Children use the accounts created by their parent or guardian. Enrollled children can also be assigned weekly one-hour live sessions with a teacher, subject to the school setting a timetable within their active membership. A separate agreement may apply to separately booked services or school programmes.

2. Accounts and parental supervision

Add your children, select a membership and submit payment, then verify your parent email. Course access starts after email verification and school payment approval. Keep passwords private and supervise your child’s use of the portal and any external tools. Each child has a separate account and membership. Tell us promptly if an account is accessed without permission. Do not share paid child accounts with other people.

3. What the learning portal provides

The portal offers beginner digital literacy, online safety, coding and AI lessons through recorded videos, guided activities and knowledge checks. Lessons include fictional AI-generated teachers and voices. They are educational presentations, not live teachers or individual tutoring. Progress records and reports reflect activity and basic knowledge checks; they do not guarantee mastery, accreditation, academic results or employment. Access covers the lessons published in the portal during the paid period. Live one-on-ones use the timetable in your dashboard and open in Google Meet, a service operated by Google. Join buttons open 10 minutes before the lesson and close at its scheduled end. The teacher may need to admit participants. Do not share meeting links. Missed sessions are not automatically rebooked; contact the school to discuss changes. The portal does not record Google Meet calls. Recording requires a separate decision and appropriate permission.

4. Membership fees and duration

MembershipPrice per childAccess period
MonthlyKSh 3,00030 days
QuarterlyKSh 8,50090 days
AnnualKSh 32,000365 days

Review the selected child, plan and amount before paying. Memberships are prepaid and do not automatically charge your M-Pesa account. Any future price change will be communicated before you purchase or renew and will not shorten an already approved paid period.

5. Payments and activation

Use the payment options displayed in the parent dashboard. For manual payment, use M-Pesa Buy Goods and Services Till 9537755, check the business name, pay the exact amount and submit the transaction code for the selected child and plan. For STK Push, approve the request on your phone. Never enter your M-Pesa PIN on this website.

Submitting a receipt or receiving an STK confirmation does not itself activate membership. The school administrator checks payment and approves enrollment. Sandbox payments are tests and do not grant paid access. Contact support if approval is delayed; do not make a second payment just to retry a pending request.

6. Expiry and renewal

New or expired memberships start when payment is approved. An early renewal extends the child’s existing paid expiry date. The dashboard displays the access end date. After expiry, lessons and videos are unavailable until a renewal is approved. Account sign-in and renewal remain available, and expiry does not itself erase saved progress. Access periods run continuously, including days you do not sign in.

7. Cancellations, payment errors and refunds

You can stop renewing at any time; no future automatic payment is taken. For an incorrect payment, duplicate charge, cancellation or service problem, contact us with your payment reference and the affected child. We will verify the payment and review the request, including any applicable consumer rights. Do not include your M-Pesa PIN or password. These terms do not remove any cancellation, refund or other remedy available under applicable law.

8. Safe and respectful use

Use the portal for lawful learning. Do not bully others, upload harmful material, attempt to access other accounts, disrupt the platform or bypass payment and access controls. Children should not share personal addresses, school details, passwords or payment information in activities or external AI tools. Parents should check any external service’s age requirements and terms before allowing use. We may restrict access where necessary to protect children or investigate misuse. Contact support if you believe a restriction is incorrect.

9. Learning materials and your work

You may use the school’s videos and materials for the enrolled child’s personal educational use during their membership. Do not redistribute, sell or publicly re-upload them without permission. Children retain ownership of their own original work. Creating an account does not give us permission to use your child’s image, name or work in marketing; any such use requires separate permission.

10. Privacy and communications

Read our learning account privacy information for the details collected and their purpose. Parent verification, account support and learning reports support the service. Weekend reminder emails are optional and can be disabled in the parent dashboard or through their unsubscribe link. Accepting these terms does not require opting into reminder emails. Contact us about access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests.

11. Devices and service availability

You provide a suitable device, internet connection and any data costs. A laptop or desktop is recommended for coding activities. Maintenance or technical faults may temporarily interrupt access. Contact support if a lesson is unavailable or a prolonged interruption affects your paid membership so we can investigate and discuss an appropriate remedy.

12. Changes and applicable law

Kenyan law applies. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer or data protection rights. Material changes will be communicated before applying to future enrollments or renewals. The version and time of acceptance are recorded for new parent registrations. Ask for help if you have questions before accepting.
